A scholarship fund for Rush Memorial Hospital employees pursuing education to become a nurse or paramedic.
The Wade Weston Scholarship Fund was established following the death of Wade Weston in 2008. Mr. Weston was a recognized member of the first responder community and Rush Memorial Hospital. He was a paramedic and was close to completing his nursing degree at the time of his death. The Wade Weston Scholarship is awarded annually to a Rush Memorial Hospital employee who demonstrates similar characteristics to Mr. Weston, is committed to quality healthcare here in the community, and is pursing education to become a nurse or paramedic.
