The annual Rush Memorial Hospital Golf Outing is quickly approaching.
RMH will host teams from the area at Antler Pointe Golf Course, 3510 North 150 East, Rushville, on July 21. All proceeds will benefit the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Scholarship Fund. Last year, $8,000 in scholarships was awarded to two graduating RCHS high school seniors and 11 RMH employees pursing degrees in health and medical fields.
According to Faith Mock, RMH Foundation Executive Director, “Julie Dragoo, RMH Marketing Director and Golf Outing Chair, and her committee have worked to make our annual golf outing fundraiser great fun and successful. With the help of our sponsors and individual golfers we have been able to expand our scholarship giving. It is so gratifying to help graduating high school seniors begin their new careers and to help our RMH employees expand their education in established careers.”
Tee time is 10 a.m. and golfers will enjoy lunch, beverages, and a hot dog cart along the course. The theme this year is “It’s a Fiesta!” Along with golfing there will be exciting and fun games along the course. Fantastic prizes will be given out and the top three teams will be recognized with trophies. Sponsorships (ranging from $175 and up), along with individual golfers ($75 per golfer) and teams of four, are still being accepted. To get register or get more information call Julie Dragoo, Golf Outing Chair at 765-932-7578 or stop by the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation Office at 1230 North Main Street for a registration form. You must be pre-registered to golf that day. Don’t delay in registering as the golf outing does fill to capacity.
Tonia Biehl, RMH Rehabilitation Department and scholarship recipient, expressed her thanks, “I think it’s truly wonderful that the RMH Foundation and Rush Memorial offer these scholarships to support the employees to accomplish their educational and professional goals. It’s a great feeling to know that the time and effort put into our education doesn’t go unnoticed. The desire of our employer to ease the financial burden of its employees is truly a blessing that not all professionals experience. My family and I are truly grateful for the assistance these scholarships have had on my educational expenses.”
